Project 1
Famous People, Familiar Faces – Diagrammatic Abstraction
The aim of this project is to investigate and to explore how spaces are created from the making of architectural elements: architectonics.- solid, planes, lines and frames. The idea of using pure and diagrammatic models to express the architectural idea were also incorporated in this assignment. In a group of 5, students were given a master architect with their masterpiece.
We had to produce a complete set of hand drawn architectural drawings (scale of 1:100) of the selected masterpiece on A3 size paper which includes site plan, floor plans, sections, elevations, axonometric & perspective. Also, we had to investigate and formulate our findings into a set of 10 analysis diagrams (on A3 size paper) and 10 diagrammatic models (8 x 8 x 8 cm). The models should be precise and informative to express the analysis of the ideas hidden in the project assigned.

Project 2
Introduction to Site Analysis + Pavilion
For this assignment, we went to National Botanical Garden, Shah Alam to conduct a site analysis of the physical context. Data such as site plan, existing structure, landscape, climatic studies, circulation pattern, vistas and activities are to be included.
The whole batch is divided into two, Site A(hill) and Site B (Amphitheater), each with approximately 80 people. I was in team Site B. Next, Site B was divided further into mini-groups, each with its own task. Our mini-group was in charge of existing structures within the site. Team Site B is also given the case study of the Amphitheater.

The aim of this project is to generate structure, form and space through architectural conceptualisation (which you are required to choose 2 ‘keywords’ from project 1), with the emphasis on the user requirement, ergonomics and site responding to develop an architectural proposition.
The final submission includes site analysis, a series of 2D diagrams, a series of details drawings and a series of models.

Project 3
Weekend Getaway
Project 3 extends the understanding of design concept and process. It introduces the notion of architectural space making through the design of a user-specific architectural scheme. This project explores the relationship between architectural tectonics, function and space.
On our own, we further develop into a retreat house, a place affording peace and privacy where its occupant would reside for a short period. It should function as a habitable architectural space to enable activities such as living, cooking, leisure, storage and dining.
